I started my first startup while getting an Economics degree. I was lucky enough to learn about the business model canvas during my studies. As soon as I graduated, I started working as a freelance consultant in business modeling and business planning for startups and digital enterprises.
In 2016 I was introduced to cryptocurrencies, and the following year attended the MOOC offered by the University of Nicosia. Gradually the Web3 world became my full occupation. In 2018, I founded Criptolab with some friends, a coworking space in Rome that hosted dozens of free meetups before the pandemic to spread the innovations introduced by cryptocurrencies, tokens, and Web3.
Since 2020, I have been working exclusively on tokenomics, specifically helping projects identify the utilities of the tokens they plan to issue, design the token's incentive mechanism within the ecosystem, and finally define the key metrics for fundraising (token distribution, monetary policy, pricing and sales methods, locking and vesting for various stakeholders, etc.).
Over time, I have created a framework to address the token design process inspired by the business model canvas, which helps identify the potential value associated with the token to identify its potential utilities.
Also, with a small team of colleagues, we are creating software that helps projects make assumptions about tokenomics models and monitor key token metrics over time.
The financial system we have built requires deep restructuring. It should be done in as decentralized and trustless a way as possible, and the mechanisms for exchanging and storing value should be created and managed at the micro level, maximizing the opportunities for communities of private citizens to create value for themselves and the collectivity.
